I can't get enough of this series. I pick it up and can't put it down until the end and then I get depressed because it's over. I kinda hope an anime comes out of this series - that would be crazy AWESOME! As soon as I finish one volume I buy the next volume asap. I hope this series just keeps going and going for forever and ever - keep 'em coming, please!!!!!
We move away from the battlefield portion of the story and actually let Thorfinn develop as a character. The plotting slows down a little bit, and there isn't any focus on warfare for now, but its not an unwelcome change. Rather than fighting and destruction, the story now concerns itself with building and growing things. Thorfinn's life gets renewed meaning as he learns to fill the void left after years of living for nothing but revenge and hatred.Previously the story had mainly focused on Askeladd and Canute, while Thorfinn was mainly a static character who did the same things over and over. Both him and Canute have changed drastically and i think its absolutely terrific how Vinland Saga has maintained such a solid pace throughout.
Another excellent entry in the Vinland Saga! This volume was a nice change of pace from the previous 4 books, focusing more on Thorfinn's evolution and growth as a warrior. I can't wait to see where Thorfinn goes from here!
This carton grafic bok ,is a masteripce,and i love the story,i hope it will come more books.the drawer is fantastic.
Over all i'd recommend this for the simple fact that it feels very rooted in reality. No insanely over powered characters. Everything feels like it is the result of the work of people. And not a series of scripted events. So it is well worth the read.
This is one of the best Manga series ever. It includes some superhuman feats, but the psychology of the characters is entirely of this world. Makes for a great, moving story. Highly recommend it.
Fantastic volume; great seinen series. This is a must buy if you enjoy other series like Claymore or Berserk
