THIS Book is my textbook in educating myself about nutrition about supplements about minerals and all of the natural substances that compose our daily lifestyle. Ever since I purchased the first copy in 1999 – it has become my desktop reference. I have approached it like a textbook – covering chapter by chapter and at some point I started using it when I had a problem I open the page and read and study. It has been an incredible tool for me and I have used most of the suggestions I have learned from that book. This is still my number one guide in nutritional supplementation - and I'm absolutely recommend it for everyone who wants to know more about how to sustain their wellness. It is written by a doctor, who has the wisdom to include all known natural healing methods and supplements. I am over 50, I don't look my age, I have energy to spare, I work, I exercise, I do yoga and I have ZERO meds in my drawer. Not even an Aspurin.... Especially Aspirin. None . I have three drawers full of supplements . I have been taking for over 17 years . A must for every household !!!🔆🔆🔆🔆🔆👍

One of my favorite books. Lots of great advice for a variety of conditions. As a CNC I find Balch's work to be an inspiration. This one is a must-have for your alternative health library... Enjoy this book! There is so much to be learned from it that you can use to help yourself and others, such as friends and family. But, beware of taking too many different supplements; if you have sensitive digestion, food sources rather than vitamin and mineral supplements may be better tolerated.

Amazing book I lost weight by taking the vitamins on the overweight section of the book without excerise. A total of 18 pounds in 2 Months. I purchased the very important vitamins only. Also, my husband lowered his blood pressure with the vitamins on that page. This is a must have for every family!

This is one of the best books out there to help yourself. I was told by a woman who owns a health-food store that the 2010 version is the last one Phyllis Balch wrote before she died. The 2011 and later versions are written by her husband and he is making changes that are not good so I'd suggest finding the purchasing the 2010 version. Also...just a suggestion, but, if you're having physical difficulties the first things to do are get off of all fake sugars and stop eating all non-organic, GMO's, and pesticide ridden foods. Eat good organic, vegetables, meats, cheeses...juice as often as possible. Has to be drank with-in 20 minutes of juicing to get the life-giving enzymes. Stop drinking sodas of any kind. That's just a good first line of defense. From there...go get tests to find out exactly what is wrong (diagnostic testing) but don't let them treat you without doing your own homework. NEVER let them inject you with radioactive isotopes for CT's or thyroid scan & uptake, unless the situation is REALLY dire.

I bought this thinking it was the larger book version so I was bummed on receiving it. But as I looked at it I realized that I like that it is lighter in weight which is good for traveling and although it doesn't contain as much information as the larger it is a good start and handy for quick look ups. So I kept it. I am happy with it and will use it those times I don't want to fool with the heavier book. Good item.

I have been using supplements for some time to augment my health and well being. It occurred to me that I did not have a lot of information about the supplements I was using beyond their claims. I only gave it four stars because there are several of these books, perhaps a series? However the covers all look similar and this was not the book I was looking to buy.

This is such a powerful, powerful book! The study is equally powerful! Our ladies Bible study has been enthralled with each lesson. It can be very difficult learning things contrary to what we are taught, but we never have found it to be unbiblical!

Reading this book is probably the closest I will get to Israel. I love the perspectives of both the Rabi and Kathie Lee. Very well written! I have recommended this book to several friends and they also have appreciated and loved this book too. Kathie Lee as a Sister in Christ has such a love for God and a faith that just makes me want to do more. She does her devotionals 2 hours prior to leaving for her job at NBC every morning. How can i ever complain ? I find her very insperational and definitely one that walks the walk and doesn’t just talk the talk.

This is an excellent book, shedding light on many scriptural passages I have always wondered about. Now that I’ve read the whole thing, I plan to go back and study it.

We are using the book, study guide and video in our small group this fall. Some of the members bought only the book and just follow along with the discussion of the group. The guide is handy to have, especially for the leader, to direct the discussion and cause further thought. I find it very helpful.

Learned so much new information that I thought I already was informed about. I really loved the refreshing way that it was revealed to readers and watchers of the DVD series, as well. Well worth the price and then some.

This is a good leaders guide, but was ordered by mistake. I thought it would be the full e-book.

I purchased this book for a course I was going to take at a junior college. After two classes, I realized that because the book is so very well writen, I could read it and learn the material without all the driving to classes twice a week. So, I dropped the class and saved considreably more than the cost of the text, and am just finishing chapter14 of the 16 chapter book.The author is so outstanding, that I plan to see what other books she has written and possibly purchase them. Well worth the money and time spent reading it.

I am a student of technology at a university currently enrolled in an A+ preparation course. This is the book that was required for the course. One thing that I really did not like about this book is that the chapters are not well organized and they are not in a logical sequence. Why cover PC components before covering the basic concepts of electricity? Why are floppy drives and memory in the same chapters by themselves? I just don't see the reason for that. I will give the book credit for being thorough in explanation, but a lot of the "extra" explanation is useless for the A+ exam. I gave this book ONE star because of the trivial organization and the rediculously long chapters. I currently own "A+ Training Guide, 5th Edition" by Charles J. Brooks and it is a superior book (Mike Meyers books are also excellent) and I highly recommend it over this "A+ Guide to Hardware" being reviewed. Besides, with the Charles J. Brooks book, you get the benefit of having a CD-ROM that actually has A+ related materials on it. The book by Jean Andrews (the one being reviewed) doesn't even give you a sample test on the CD. In my opinion, a good A+ book should be accompanied with a sample test. Another thing about this book is that it ONLY covers hardware. I know that is the focus of the book as stated in the title, but that is only half of the A+ certification. There are MUCH better books available than this one and I recommend looking for a different book, especially one that will cover the COMPLETE A+ certification.

I was forced to read this book for a class. Without going into detail, just buy another book if you can. There are much much better out there. I felt this book left a lot of very important things out and if this was the only resource you use to take the A+ exam, I wouldn't expect to pass.

I attended Hardware Support for this class and this book is very helpful. It can tell you in great detail and it has assess code to the website where you can learn more and do self-tests. Love this book.
